Once again, we were so pleased to welcome the Honourable Tim Louis, our Canadian Member of Parliament (Kitchener-Conestoga) to Yog Fellowship. On July 7, 2022, Mr. Louis met with Yog Fellowship’s summer youth employee, Ryan, whose employment is sponsored by the Canada Summer Jobs Program (CSJP). The purpose of the CSJP is to support young Canadians to develop skills and gain work experience.
This summer, we have been fortunate to have 2 summer students joining us at Yog Fellowship. Arlen was with us for May/June, and Ryan is with us now (July/August). Under the expert guidance/direction of Nadia Mushani, both students have benefitted from this work experience for their personal lives as well as their future work endeavours. Ryan has just completed his high school education, and hopes to work in the area of landscape in the future. Nadia Mushani is helping them to learn and apply the Kriyayoga philosophy regarding plants and land management in her role as supervisor.
By all accounts, Mr. Louis was quite impressed with Ryan’s maturity, as well as with the natural beauty of the Yog Fellowship grounds. Also attending were Nadia Mushani, Karen Fellows, Swami Gangamata (Anna Cipollone), Alex Filbey (assistant to Mr. Louis). Photos taken by Krishna B.
